We are fifth year chemical engineering students from
Malayan Colleges Laguna. We have always been classmates in ALL of our courses
since we entered our third year in college. When you are nearing the end of
your college life, there will always be times that you would look back,
reminisce, and think about the past few years of your hardships, sleepless
nights, never-ending tasks, assignments, reports, and other academic stuffs
that you had to overcome. Now, we are doing our plant design and the past weeks
have been so much more tiring. (Well, that is relative to the past years of
being a chemical engineering student.) So we thought to ourselves that we need
a breather, a little break from the reality that we are caught in right now.

We have actually attended the ChELTS for the last two
consecutive years. We were really anxious to learn about the details of this
year’s LTS and when it was announced, we got very excited! First, the place is
so awesome and we definitely knew that it would be F-U-N! This will be our last
leadership training seminar as college students. Even if there have been lots
of expenses for this term, we really ensured to set aside the payment for this
event. For some of us, it meant having just burgers for lunch, skipping
merienda time, and even being the “kuripot” one for a little while. For we know
that sacrificing a little for this, would mean a lot of great things in return.
By attending this program, we know that we would gain
more friends from different schools that share the same passion, which is
chemical engineering. With all the activities lined up for us, we believe that
upon returning home, we would have so much memories and experiences to bring
with us. Those are the things that no one can take away from us. Those things
will remain in our minds and hearts as long as we would like to. And above all,
we know that this seminar will help us to be a better person, a better leader
that would work, together with other people, towards the goal of having a much
improved society.
--> we won! hurray!
